Gutierrez pleased to raise his level

Esteban Gutierrez believes his qualifying performance in Singapore did his career the world of good, but he knows he needs to build on that. The Mexican rookie outqualified his more experienced team-mate Nico Hulkenberg for the first time at the Marina Bay Street Circuit while he also made it into Q3 for the first time in his career. Naturally Gutierrez is confident his display is a sign of things to come. "It was a very powerful feeling, because you can use it for the future," he told Autosport.
