Sirotkin gets first taste of F1 machinery
Sergey Sirotkin managed to get his first run in a Formula 1 car under his belt at a Sauber demo in Russia on Friday, ahead of his expected promotion to a race drive in 2014.
The youngster, who currently races in the Formula Renault 3.5 series for ISR, came as part of Sauber's rescue package from a group of Russian Investors.
He took part in a demo run on 700 metres of completed tarmac at the Sochi International Street Circuit as part of the 12th International Investment Forum. He drove the Sauber C31 and got a first taste of machinery that he could well be racing next season, regarding he gets his all-important superlicense.
