Force India signs Calado as third driver
Force India has confirmed the long-awaited news that James Calado is to join the team as its third driver. The Briton, 24, will take part in the opening free practice session at Monza, with further FP1 appearances planned for later in the season. Currently fifth in the GP2 Series standings, Calado made a positive impression during his outing at the Silverstone Young Driver Test, with co-owner and Team Principal Vijay Mallya explaining that he "impressed everyone with his speed and consistency."
