Vettel praises 'exceptional' Hamilton

Sebastian Vettel has praised Hungarian Grand Prix pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton for delivering an "exceptional" lap during the final qualifying phase on Saturday. The Red Bull driver had looked set to secure the top spot after his opening Q3 effort put him eight tenths clear of the field, but Mercedes rival Hamilton went 0.038 seconds faster on his second timed attempt to earn a fourth pole of the season. "At the end of the day I was pretty happy with my lap but it was not fast enough," Vettel explained after the qualifying hour. "I think Lewis did an exceptional job if you look at the gap to Nico. You have to be fair and respect that. I'm not arguing with that."...
