Ricciardo beaches Red Bull
Daniel Ricciardo's 'audition' for a 2014 Red Bull seat has got off to an inauspicious start after the Australian beached the RB9 in the gravel on just his seventh lap for the World Champions at the Young Driver Test.The regular Toro Rosso driver swapped over to the senior Red Bull team's championship-leading machine at lunchtime on Day Two at Silverstone and immediately set the day's second fastest lap, having already held the quickest overall time from his earlier STR8 run.
However, mid-way round his seventh lap Ricciardo went off the road at Luffield and beached his car deep in the gravel trap, bringing out the day's third red flag.
