FIA confirms tyre operating restrictions

Formula 1 governing body the FIA has confirmed a number of restrictions to tyre operating procedures for this weekend's German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, following the spate of left-rear blow-outs suffered at Silverstone. In addition to limits on tyre pressures and camber angles, the swapping of left and right-hand side tyres has been banned, with Pirelli highlighting these factors, along with high kerbs, as reasons for the succession of dramatic failures last time out.
