Di Resta thrown out of qualifying

British driver Paul di Resta has been excluded from qualifying for the British Grand Prix. Di Resta's car was found to be 1.5kg below the minimum weight. Di Resta originally set the fifth fastest lap time during Saturday's qualifying session at Silverstone. As a result, the Brit will now drop to the back of the grid for the start of Sunday's race. Di Resta's exclusion means that Toro Rosso's Daniel Ricciardo will start the race from fifth place on the grid, his highest qualifying result of his career. Title contenders Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso move up to eighth and ninth respectively.
