Raikkonen focused on new device
Kimi Raikkonen said his Friday practice running was completely focused on analysing the Lotus drag reduction device (DRD). Lotus has been working on the DRD for a number of months having first tested it in the 2012 season but has yet to get it working reliably. After further testing the team was confident enough to run it on Raikkonen's car on Friday in the hope of being able to race it this weekend and Raikkonen said all of his focus was on analysing the device. "Basically we didn't want to go out this morning because it was raining and we didn't think it was going to teach us anything," Raikkonen said.
