Test data not beneficial, claims Brawn

Mercedes team boss Ross Brawn says although gaining a certain level of information during its private tyre test at the Circuit de Catalunya was "unavoidable", he has contested claims that it gave his team an unfair competitive advantage. Speaking at the International Tribunal (IT) in Paris on Thursday, Brawn argued that his team "didn't know the detail objectives" of tyre supplier Pirelli, with the manufacturer previously explaining that unmarked prototype 2014 compounds had been trialled.
