Kovalainen and IMG part company
Heikki Kovalainen has confirmed that he has split from management company IMG and is managing himself.
The Finn is currently seeking a return to Formula 1 in 2014 after being dropped by Caterham at the end of 2012 in favour of Charles Pic. Kovalainen lacks the financial backing of his rival drivers, one of the reasons why he was dropped by Caterham after a three-year stint at the team, and has refused to change his ways in a bid to return to the grid.
He has since returned to the Leafield based squad in a development driver role, driving the CT03 during free practice for the Bahrain and Spanish Grand Prix's. He is continuing to put together a package that will allow him to make a return to...
