Hamilton: Rosberg was simply faster

Lewis Hamilton has conceded that Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg was out of reach during Saturday afternoon's qualifying session for the Spanish Grand Prix, with the Briton having to settle for second position after topping the second phase. Hamilton, who was consigned to a sole timed run in the final shootout due to a lack of Option tyres, posted an effort of 1:20.972, exactly 0.254 seconds slower than Rosberg.
