Glock leaves Marussia amid 'tough economic conditions'

Despite holding a valid contract, Timo Glock has departed from Marussia and possibly Formula 1 with immediate effect “by mutual consent”, according to a statement issued by his team on Monday. After having spent three seasons with the squad making a “significant contribution”, the German left because of the difficult financial status of the team. “Although it is not the path I expected to be taking, I am in fact very excited about what the future holds in terms of my own career and I hope to comment on that very soon,' said Glock who is believed to race in DTM this year.
