Vettel is Ferrari's preferred Alonso successor
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo says Sebastian Vettel would be a perfect fit for Ferrari should Fernando Alonso leave. Whilst the Italian believes Alonso is the best driver in the sport, should such a scenario present itself in which the Spaniard chose to leave, di Montezemolo would encourage Vettel or the lesser preferred Lewis Hamilton to take over the lead role. "Between all the drivers, Vettel and Hamilton could be perfect for Ferrari in the future, with one difference - Vettel is younger," he said.
