Ecclestone wants just ten teams in F1

Although next year’s grid is expected to lose one of the 12 current teams, Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone doesn’t mind if the sport were to shed one more. Financially-troubled HRT didn’t feature on the entry list for the 2013 season suggesting that the Spanish squad’s tryst with the sport has come to an end. Formula 1 fielded 12 team, and consequently 24 cars, since 2010; a number which Ecclestone believes is a bit too much. 'I'd rather have ten. I never wanted 12,' the 82-year-old told Reuters.
