Alonso delighted with 61-lap haul with ‘responsive’ AMR26

Fernando Alonso took center stage as Aston Martin’s new AMR26 finally hit the track in Barcelona, completing 61 laps on the final day of the week’s shakedown after the team’s delayed arrival and a sluggish start. The AMR26’s debut late on Thursday with Lance Stroll at the wheel ended quickly, raising questions about the team’s readiness under Adrian Newey’s new technical structure.
